Where I grew up, some of my closest friends were the kids that lived on my block. They were who I spent time with, shared my victories like landing my first skateboarding launch with and my failures like when my girlfriend broke up with me.
This small band of friends did life together. That is what City Blocks is all about. A group of people to connect, have fun, grow, and do life together with here at City Church.

Hello, I am Marci and have been part of City Church for many years. I have a heart for this church and the members. I will be leading and growing a block for ladies. We will be connecting and growing through prayer, biblical studies, devotionals, and conversations. We will be planning events and gathers based on ideas from the group. I am excited to see this group connect and grow in City Church and the community. Women of all ages and experiences are welcome!

Bowman Block
Hello and welcome! We’re Connie and Brian Bowman, active members of City Church with a deep passion for serving. We have four grown children and are proud grandparents to a sweet almost 2-year-old. We invite you to join us for fellowship, delicious food, fun activities, and learning as we walk together with Jesus. This block is for couples. We currently meet at our home on the 3rd Friday of the month and plan one other activity per month.
Our group....This is the eat, talk, play games, crochet and have deep theology discussions group while still getting along with each other.
The goal is to create deeper relationships with people while doing life with each other and learn how to walk with Jesus. We are and will continue to be a group of imperfect people who are in pursuit of Jesus.
As the group gets bigger, the goal will be to find others to lead and split. We can't stay comfortable. We all want that but that's not what we are called to do. We are called to share the good news and do life together.
Our block meets every other Friday at 6PM in our home in Pekin.

Hello and welcome! We are Mike and Mary Overholt. City Church has been our home for several years. We are in our 50’s and have 3 grown children. If you are in a similar phase of life, come join us a couple times a month on the weekends. One Sunday afternoon can be at our house for food and fellowship. We can chat, swim, and play games! Another Saturday or Sunday we can meet up somewhere for a fun outing. We look forward to making new friendships!

LATTE LADIES LOVIN' JESUS
No, you don't have to drink lattes to join us (or even coffee) but if
you are a woman of any age who wants to become a stronger warrior in Christ and form a "Tribe of Sisterhood", then please come!
We meet every Tuesday at 6PM and focus on studying scripture and how to apply it to our daily lives. Together we choose a book of the bible or a subject to study. After each study we find something fun to help build friendships.
Our goal is to encourage, strengthen, grow and laugh together - creating new and deeper friendships.
Looking for some weirdos that love Jesus? Look no further! We are Darrell and Micki Slaven. Parents to 3 daughters, a son-in-law and bonus son. Papo and Mimi to an amazing granddaughter and grandson. We have been married 25 years and know all there is to marriage. NOT! We are still figuring this whole life thing out. If you’re looking to feed your belly and nourish your heart and soul, ours is the place to be. We meet every other Sunday at 5:30. Kids are welcome, and we have a playroom. We do have cats if you are allergic. Please join us and meet others that just want to do life together.

We will enjoy planned and spontaneous activities together such as going to the movies, dinner, checking out local events and bands, book/Bible studies, etc. I am looking forward to meeting and spending time in fellowship with you!

Hey there! We are Kyle and Erin Mikula!
We have a long history with City Church as Kyle originally attended Fusion, one of Pastor Shane and Amy’s first ministries dedicated to youth 20 years ago.
We both have a heart for helping the youth and all of the families that make City Church such a fun and loving place. We wanted to start a City Block that would serve as a place for ANYONE with children to come and do life alongside a Jesus loving community.
We will meet in a variety of places including our home, church, local parks and occasionally organizing trips to places outside the local area. Life is just so much harder if you’re alone and we don’t want that for your family. We believe a thriving social life is crucial for your health and wellness on this earth.
Please join us every 2 weeks to learn more about Jesus, laugh hysterically, eat some tasty food and BE LOVED!

Hello! I'm David and I have been attending City Church since 2022.
I have a passion for God and serving his people.
I will be leading a men's City Block called Fisher's of Men.
This block will focus on discipleship, book studies and prayer.
We currently meet every two weeks on Tuesday evenings at 6:30PM.

We desire to develop friendships as we enjoy fellowship and support each other in our walk with the Lord.
